How it works
Each employee is outfitted with a wearable Bluetooth/LoRa badge sensor that can be carried in their pocket or worn on a lanyard around their neck.
When employees come into close proximity (< 1,5m ) of each other, their wearable sensor badge alerts them with a buzzer sound and vibration notifications.
In addition to the buzzer & vibration notifications, the wearable badge sensor sends a data notification message to a Cloud-based Safe Distance Platform.

DEDICATED DEVICE
Adoption a dedicated device that can be worn during working hours is the ideal solution:
Workers do not always have a smartphone with them
Workers don’t want to use their private SIM data plan for work-related data
A smartphone can run out of battery or have faulty settings
The solution consists out of a gateway to provide wireless onsite coverage, a proximity tracker for each person and access to the Safe Distance Application Server.
The gateway deploys a private LoRaWAN network on-site and forwards the received messages to the Safe Distance application server.
Each gateway can support of up to 2000 trackers, has a range of about 500 meters and can cover an area of about 800.000 square meters. The solution can be easily extended with additional gateways to cover any larger areas.
The solution can be extended with optional BLE beacon devices that create additional rules for the Proximity Badges in case the person is entering an “Alarm” or “No-Alarm” zone, useful for indicating zones where the badges are not required to go in alarm state (e.g. during charging,…) or are required to go in alarm state (e.g. forbidden zones,…).
